Dear Arm of Hope Friends,

Check out what’s going on right now…

THE 5K…
Our annual 5k is coming up on Saturday, May 21. Sign up now at armofhopeinghana.org. Participation is by generous donation this year, so give whatever God lays on your heart. The Arm of Hope 5k is a family-friendly event open to walkers and runners. All proceeds from this event will go toward our Ghana camp trip coming up in December. The cost of camp is about $50 per person, and last year we had 600 campers, so do the math! We are trusting God to provide for camp through this 5k event.
THE TRIP…
Speaking of the trip, Arm of Hope is currently accepting applications for our 9th annual camp trip, which will take place from December 27-January 10. We are looking for applicants who love Jesus with all their hearts and are willing to share Him with our campers. A love for children and young people and a willingness to serve are requirements for joining the camp team. Camp is a time for kids to grow in their relationships with Jesus while having tons of fun with their friends. If you would like a trip application, please contact us at cheryl@armofhopeinghana.org. Applications will be received until May 31.
YOUR SPONSORED CHILD…
You will receive new pictures and information about your sponsored child(ren) in the next week! We finally have the database up and running and most of the kinks worked out of our new system. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for your love for these precious young people.

Do you remember sending Christmas gifts for your sponsored children for us to take to Ghana last December? Well, due to our team being reduced in number and that causing us to have a reduced amount of luggage, we shipped those gifts instead. They just arrived last week, and I can’t begin to tell you the big smiles you put on the faces of our students. It is such an encouragement for our Arm of Hope kids to know you are thinking of them. It was also wonderful to see how God provided for some of our students’ needs at just the right time.
Abena was just heading out the door to travel to her high school after Easter break, when the container of gifts arrived. Inside were many practical things she needed for school along with $10, which was exchanged to put toward food and other costs she will have to pay at school. God knows what we need exactly when we need it. Thank you so much for your love and care for your sponsored children!
It is a joy to partner with each one of you. Thank you so much for your prayers for your student, for our board here and in Ghana, and for Brother Philip, our missionary partner, as well as our 5k and trip coming up soon. Your prayers are changing lives!
