The people at Echoing Hills, where we are having the camp, take such good care of each other.  Young people and old people help each other all of the time.  Everyone has a job to take care of someone else, and they are like one big family of sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles…Naomi Becker

My team of tiny five year olds was praising God with all of their hearts by doing the motions to the songs even though they couldn’t sing most of the English words…Devan Turner

I saw my camp team grow from being selfish to selfless.  Instead of running to be first for assembly, they helped people with disabilities find seats first…Mike Bennage

Gideon helped me lead my camp team last week.  He is a good leader and has lots of good illustrations to help the kids learn.  When I watched Gideon, it helped me learn how to be a good leader too.  This week I will be more confident with my second camp team because Gideon was a good example to me…Colton Grove

The police brought seventeen-year-old Selia to Echoing Hills (the location of our camp) last Saturday. She had a stone face and would hardly speak. For several days I tried to talk with her, but she was too traumatized to say more than a few words. On her fourth day at Echoing Hills, I  found her laughing with another one of the residents. She is starting to warm up to me too. I thank God for how the Echoing Hills girls have welcomed Selia into their lives!…Erika Belmont

Emmanuel, a boy on my team, lives at Echoing Hills with his dad who is deaf. His dad helps to bathe and care for the people with disabilities, and Emmanuel told me that he thinks God is calling him to be like his dad and take care of people with disabilities too someday…Sherrie Ainsley

On the first day of camp, I was so surprised to see the children come into the assembly room and wait very patiently as we worked to put them into their teams and distribute their shirts, bags, and bandanas.   This is such an improvement from our first year of camp two years ago…Cheryl Zimmerman

The camp kids had a lot of respect for the residents at Echoing Hills. They included people with disabilities in their group and even welcomed them.  Contrary to the culture of Ghana, the camp kids valued the people with disabilities and treated them with respect…Rachel Bennage

After the football championship game during week one of camp, the losing team’s leader encouraged his players to clap for the winning team and even shake their hands and congratulate them.  It’s neat to see God working in the hearts of leaders to encourage the young campers to have good attitudes even when losing…Greg Grove

During the first week of camp as I was being the “Star Master” and looking for teams who were winning or having exceptional behavior, one team brought me 5 cedis that they found on the ground.  Instead of keeping it for themselves, they realized that it did not belong to them and it needed to be returned to its rightful owner.  This showed that God was teaching that team the importance of being honest…Mike Zimmerman
